While many companies have jumped on the Apple (AAPL) train and started creating versions of their software compatible with the Mac, for some reason much of the stock trading community has not been so quick to adapt.
A question that commonly asked is if you can trade on a Mac. I even had to ask that myself before I got one.
In short… Yes, you can trade on a Mac.
That being said, you have to be ready to give up some of the tools and software exclusive to Windows. Odds are that any downloadable-type software won’t be available for the Mac. Things such as backtesting are what you most likely won’t have at your disposal with a Mac. If you really need this software, then you can always get programs like Parralels, which allows you to run Windows on a Mac; nonetheless, if you are considering getting a Mac, rest assure that there are viable options to still partake in stock trading.
