Time Frames

August 19th, 2009 | Filed under: Chart School

Whenever you are analyzing stock charts remember to keep in mind the time frame.

Chart patterns are exactly that, patterns. So if it took 3 months for a particular pattern to form, then, depending on the pattern it should take around 3 months for that pattern to hit the price target.

  • See how long it took for certain patterns to develop.
  • How long should you wait for the stock to hit a price target?

Because a chart looks good in the 3-month time frame, does not mean it is good for a year time frame. Remember what you are looking at.
