The Bizzare and Funny
May 20th, 2008 | By TheWild1 | Category: GeneralFirst we will start with the BIZZARE.
So I happened to come across one of those 24 hour news channels the other morning, and, to my surprise, there was an interview going on with the mayor of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Whats so weird about that that you ask?
He is only 19! The majority of some odd 38,000 decided to put a college freshman in office. Not 51, not 61, but Tyler Hammons won with around 70% of the votes.
According to Hammons,
“The public placing their trust in me is the greatest, humbling and most awesome experience I’ve ever had in my life,”
I guess getting his driver’s license got kicked to the curb.
The kid doesn’t even go to school in the city, but now he plans to transfer to one of the top notch schools in the area. Talk about a free ride. I would just appoint someone to do the work for me, and have the tax payers cover the cost.
Hammons was going on about the great diversity in the gem of Oklahoma that is Muskogee. When asked what kind of diversity exists in Muskogee, Hammons continued to state African-Americans and Mexcan… um… last time I checked every city in the south and nearly the country see that extraordinary diversity.
Whats on his agenda?
To bring everybody together.
“Whats wrong with it,” the host asks.
Hammons, now trying to watch his words, (it was pretty obvious) comments on the us against them attitude. Apparently there is a big East vs West vs North vs South battle going on in the town of Muskogee, and the jocks and geeks won’t get along.
Now the FUNNY.
Once in a blue moon, Saturday Night Live does something funny (for me at least). If you have been watching any television for the last couple of months, then you have probably seen those NBA playoff commercials with a face made up of two different athletes (if not, catch up with the rest of the world).
Anyways SNL (correct me if I am wrong on the source) created a parody of the commercials with a combination of Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton [VIDEO ENCLOSED].
