Stock Watch 4/6/09

April 6th, 2009 | Filed under: Stock Recommendations, , ,

The following is a list of a few stocks I am looking at to pop short-term. I am mainly looking at how the stock formed before breaking past the 50 day moving average, size of volume, and stochastics.

Taking that all into consideration we come up with these:

Albina Community Bancorp – ABCB

Decent volume moving past 50 day moving average (blue line). I would make that the new stop. The stock could jump about a point or so and move on.

Arctic Cat – ACAT

Volume could be better, but the stock is looking to break out one way. Buy at 4, stop at $3.90, and look for about $0.75 jump.

E-Trade – ETFC

I have never really been a fan of E-Trade, but that does not mean you might not be. The stock looks to have formed a cup and handle formation. If pattern plays out, look for a nice jump around $0.60. Take it and run. Buy at $1.40 and stop $1.35.

American Commercial Lines Inc – ACLI

I also recommended this stock back on Thurday night via Twitter. The stock jumped 20%. The significance of that is that with such a small price you buy more shares, which makes that 20% very nice. I would recommend taking profits because the quick money is pretty much over with.
