Business Trouble CartoonIt is very rare that TWI would mention The New York Times (NYT) multiple times in a week, but the funny business keeps unfolding one after another.

It is no secret that many print media outlets are struggling to try and keep up with the changing times, and it seems like the NY Times is no different.

Since the paper is trying to change its business model to a subscription type plan, the company is becoming super conservative for having any of their content being thrown around the web.

It TODAY’s world it is common practice for bloggers to take pictures and content from major media outlets and source them, but the NY Times does not want you to do that. Instead of thinking about it like free publicity, the Times is thinking of it has breaking the Copyright Act.

The paper has been addressing outlets (even little blogs) using their content and threatening to take legal action. Further signs of a company on the brink???
