What a weekend it was. At one point Peyton Manning was about to make me lose my fantasy football game, but now to reality. I was pretty nervous before the stock market opened today. I was unsure of what we were going see. Things seemed great in the beginning and the dollar showed some signs of stregthening, but I guess that was the market playing games with us.
Some things I noticed
- As I mentioned in Walking the line, it will be good to see if QQQQ can change directions, which it didn’t.
- Looking at the Volatility Index doesn’t make me feel any better as it just keeps climbing.
- A stock that I have been interested in for a long time is EMC, but really how low can it go. On the other hand, I am happy to see that some tech stocks ended in green today (CSCO, INTC), but this also just complicates everything even further.
- I might of missed something, but the airlines were just popping today. I guess it is a rise in holiday traveling and oil prices falling.
- E-trade is terrible
All and all I am pretty unsure of where the market is heading, but right now there are tons of signs leading to a bearish demeanor. Hopefully people can cheer up and start buying things again.
