Long Term Black Success

Last Friday was the 20th anniversary of Black Monday, one of the worst days in market history; however, it barely even creates a blimp when looking at a chart over the 20 year time span. I was too young to remember or even understand any of it, so I really couldn’t determine the magnitude of that crash.
But I got to thinking about the amount of money investors could of made since Black Monday (had they invested in the right stocks of course). Stories always pop up about “what if you had bought stock “x” 5,10,15, or n years ago.” Then I came across this chart, and wondered what would a chart of the next 20 years look like?
