How Things have Changed

Here is an interesting video I came across. To me, it is a symbol of how you always need to be reinventing and staying up to date. Although, one method might work for a while, eventually it won’t work anymore or it could just be slow. The last thing anybody wants to do is throw themselves out the market. Many times innovation is the key to success.
A quick overview of the video: It basically shows how Stanford has begun to run classes on how to build applications on Facebook (I’m sure it is not the whole purpose of the class). For those RSS subscribers, there is a video in this post.

Reminds me of a lecture given to a Harvard Business School Class some time ago, which said that they should quit school and start a “web company”. I can’t remember all the exact details, but it was circa 2000. Right before the implosion. Not that programming for facebook isn’t a good idea. At least the kids taking the class are engaged. If only my college business classes were that interesting.
