Clearwire Expanding Across Borders – CLWR

I’m sure by now you’re already familiar with my obsession on Clearwire (CLWR), but its not without good cause. In simple terms, Clearwire is on the frontline of bringing 4G (formally known has Clear 4G WiMax) broadband services to the masses.

For most of 2009, Clearwire has been actively making their services available in cities across the U.S., and has just successfully completed the first inter-network roaming connection between WiMAX networks.

The demonstration, which enabled a USB modem and a CLEAR™ 4G WiMAX service username and password to gain access to a WiMAX network in Taiwan, shows the ease with which a CLEARTM 4G WiMAX user could gain access to a non-CLEAR network abroad using Aicent’s WiMAX Roaming eXchange (WRX). Source

This basically broadens the capabilities and ease of WiMax worldwide, which is always a plus. You can read my initial analysis of Clearwire, for more of a technical approach. The key principles are still present.

We’ve had a pretty good run on this stock without really any substantial news from it, so lets see if this can give us the big boost we want to see. My most recent Clearwire analysis.
