Bing To Catch Yahoo By Year’s End

In what seems to be blow after blow, Yahoo (YHOO) looks like it could lose the battle of the useless search engines before 2011 arrives.

Based on the current growth trend of Microsoft’s Bing market share and extrapolating that trend out with Yahoo’s declining search business, Bing is on pace top Yahoo around November of this year. See chart below

How this turns out financially is another question. While Bing has steadily been gaining market share it isn’t coming cheap. Microsoft (MSFT) has been throwing around loads of money hoping something good happens.

True true… just goes to show a company has about a 15 year growth period… after that, if they are not innovative, they disappear and eventually die.
